Compassion’s on the Home Stretch: A Community Coming Together for Survivors

We are incredibly grateful to share that Leadership Magnolia–Columbia County is hosting a special fundraising event in support of Compassion’s Foundation — and it means more to us than we can put into words.

A Night for Compassion

On March 14, 2026, community members will gather at Story’s “Hog Heaven” Barn for an evening dedicated to compassion, connection, and community impact. Aptly named Compassion’s on the Home Stretch, this event celebrates not only the strength of survivors, but also the power of a community that shows up when it matters most.

Guests can expect:

  • Dinner

  • Live music

  • A silent auction

  • Raffle drawings

  • A $2,500 draw down

Derby hats are not required, but they are definitely encouraged.

Why This Matters

Events like this are about more than fundraising — they are about sustaining life‑saving services. Every dollar raised through Compassion’s on the Home Stretch directly supports our work serving survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking across our region.

Because of partners like Leadership Magnolia, we are able to:

  • Keep our shelter doors open

  • Provide advocacy and crisis support

  • Help survivors navigate safety, healing, and independence

This event is a reminder that when a community invests in compassion, real change happens.
